Several aspects of genomes may be searched to compare them. In this website we
have focussed on frequency of nucleotides and oligonucleotides, which
may be used to describe a genome. The genomic signature concept has
been applied to refer to the characteristic frequencies of
oligonucleotides in a particular genome.
Select genome in the right to find out data for each sequenced strain.
Assignment of DNA sequences to genomes
Find the genomes showing a oligonucleotide composition similar to the one in your sequence, or compare several sequences.
Distance between plasmids/bacteriophages and prokaryotic chromosomes
Check oligonucleotide composition based distance between genetic elements within a prokariotic cell.
Dendrograms obtained by comparing oligonucleotide composition of prokaryotes
Oligonucleotide composition of prokaryotic chromosomes has been compared and distances computed.
Oligonucleotides 2 to 8 bases long were studied and dendrograms for each length generated.
Ocurrence of oligonucleotides in prokaryotes
This tool allows searching for frequency of a specific oligonucleotide in all sequenced prokaryote.
